We begin the newsletter with thanks to Countryman’s of Norfolk Meals for such an excellent start to our luncheon club. The next meal will be on the 27th May and menus will be available on the 13th May for your choices and reservations.
The fashion show held at Barnham Broom Country Club on the 24th April raised in the region of £700 for our funds – grateful thanks to Michelle of ‘Wardrobes’, Chewton Rose the Sponsors and many local businesses who gave their time and raffle prizes. Thanks also to Dianne for her tireless work in setting the show up and also to her and Jill for being such elegant models.
Many of you will have seen our Duck at the Café and on our Facebook Page. We are entering it for the Grand Norwich Duck Race organised by the BREAK charity to be held on the 28th August. We are still trying to come up with a good name for ‘Duckie’.
We are very pleased with the early days of our Monday-Monday Club. If you have not yet been along do try it – it is a quieter time than on Friday’s with nice cake, newspapers and friendly chat for a couple of hours between 10 & 12 noon.
Remember our wonderful barbecue last year – well, we will be holding another on the 30th July with good food assured by M & T Caterers Supreme Ltd.
The most exciting publishing event of the year will take place at the Pabulum Café on 29th April with the launch of ‘Poems from Our Hearts’, a wonderful anthology of poetry written by Pabulum members, carers and volunteers. Very special thanks to Pippa for lovingly nurturing this project to fruition.
